Diego has a vast experience in petrology, geochemistry and geochronology. As  professor in charge of the line heat-water-rock interaction, he leads investigations in alterations of mineral patterns of high and low temperature in geothermal active and fossil  systems, thermodynamic modeling of alteration induced by fluid-fracture-flow processes, and chemical mobility (elemental and isotopic).

As well, he is in charge of develop X-ray diffraction laboratory in order to achieve mineral characterization (XRD). All of the previously mentioned matters, combined with his labor as professor of geothermal courses and guide of new area’s researchers
