MAGMA’S ORIGIN IS INVESTIGATED IN ONE OF THE THICKEST EARTH´S CRUST

The Altiplano-Puna volcanic complex, located in northern Chile, is an area with potential for a large eruption, however this place still presents many questions for geological research. A study published in Scientific Reports of Nature, investigated to determine the origin of magmas in this particular area, and one of its authors is CEGA researcher, Benigno Godoy.
