High participation at CEGA’s first internal work meeting

(CEGA, July 10th ) In order to socialize the research carried out in the north of the country, the first “CEGA Table Talk” was held, which assembled more than 70 people, including CEGA researchers, postgraduate students and staff of the University of Chile and Universidad Católica.

 

This first meeting was held on Tuesday, July 4th, at Beauchef 851- FCFM – Universidad of Chile and began with a lunch, to then give way to the meeting. Representatives from CEGA’s 5 research lines gave a brief talk about the work that is carried out by each area in the north of Chile. Also, CEGA’s new geothermal and society area presented about their work with communities in El Tatio and by the end of the meeting the communications unit presented on its dissemination strategy. The exhibitors on this occasion were: postdoctoral researchers Carolina Munoz, Santiago Maza, Juvenal Letelier, researchers Andrés Veloso and Sofía Vargas, and PhD student Marcela Pizarro.

 

An artistic-visual modality was chosen to record the development of the meeting. The artist Telly Gacitúa was in charge, and she illustrated throughout the activity the main themes that were exposed in each talk. The result is a painting that reflects the themes presented during the day.

 

The next meeting is planned for September and will address the work carried out in southern Chile. This meeting is scheduled at the San Joaquín Campus of the Universidad Católica.
