Monday, 26 de September

The work brings together 18 authors (geologists, anthropologists, journalists) and over 20 artists in a book that covers 15 geothermal areas of Chile (volcanoes, hot springs, geysers and more) telling how these natural events were formed and how our people have been linked with these sites.

“La Tierra de Fuego” is a popular science book for youth and adults, with brief accounts of 15 Chilean geothermal areas of interest that aims to show the geological characteristics of each site as well as stories, myths and legends associated with it. The work brings together experts in the field of earth and social sciences, and outstanding photographers and illustrators. This book  is a work developed by the Center of Excellence in Geothermal de Los Andes (CEGA) under the Project Competition Explore XVIII Assessment and Dissemination of Science, Technology and Innovation 2014.
