[:es]El Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI) realizará una edición especial centrada en la geoquímica de fluidos (gas y agua), isótopos y estudios mineralógicos en sistemas volcánicos e hidrotermales activos/fósiles.

Esta convocatoria del MDPI contará con la presencia del académico del Instituto de Ciencias de la Ingeniería de la Universidad de O’Higgins e investigador del Centro de Excelencia en Geotermia de Los Andes (CEGA), Daniele Tardani, quien será uno de los editores principales de la edición.

En ese contexto, Tardani señaló que: “Los volúmenes especiales de revistas internacionales especializadas sirven para crear colecciones de artículos científicos sobre temas específicos, con el objetivo de construir una comunidad de autores y lectores para discutir las últimas investigaciones, y desarrollar nuevas ideas y direcciones de investigación”

“Encuentro que esta es una excelente oportunidad para integrar el conocimiento actual sobre los sistemas hidrotermales activos y fósiles, y destacar su importancia desde un punto de vista científico y aplicado a los recursos minerales y al monitoreo volcánico”, agregó el investigador del CEGA.

Los temas que incluirá este número especial son los siguientes:

  • Geoquímica y mineralogía de fluidos aplicada a la exploración geotérmica;
  • Monitoreo geoquímico de volcanes activos;
  • Geoquímica isotópica de fluidos en ambientes hidrotermales/volcánicos;
  • Inclusiones fluidas en sistemas hidrotermales activos y fósiles;
  • Alteración hidrotermal en campos geotérmicos activos;
  • Emisiones de flujo de compuestos orgánicos e inorgánicos en ambiente volcánico/hidrotermal;
  • Recuperación de elementos críticos de salmueras geotérmicas;
  • Geoquímica y mineralogía de yacimientos de minerales hidrotermales;
  • Impacto ambiental y peligro humano de los fluidos volcánicos e hidrotermales;
  • Geotermometría/geobarometría;
  • Aplicación geocronológica de agua y minerales a sistemas hidrotermales/volcánicos;
  • Interacción agua-gas-roca en fallas y fracturas.

La fecha límite para el envío de los manuscritos será el 25 de noviembre de 2022. Estos deben ser mandados a través de la página www.mdpi.com (previo registro), para una posterior revisión y publicación en la revista y la edición especial.
